Grady is starting to get into imaginary play. Here he is making soup and drinking tea. It's a lot of fun to play these games with him ... on this day, I ate a lot of pretend soup and drank loads of invisible tea!

Grady's new favorite outside activity is to pretend he is mowing the lawn. I guess because he's watched me do it every week all summer long (he even follows the same path). He pretends he is pushing the "choke" button on his toy, then he fakes a pull start, and then he gets to work!

Camping on Quadra

We went on our last camping trip of the season this past weekend to Quadra Island. We met Grandma RonaLee and Papa Ken there and had a fun couple of days exploring the beaches and playing in the rain.

First day back

Today was the first day back at school. Grady doesn't go to school yet, but he started back on his regular daycare days. Here are his "first day back" pictures (he's wearing his Olympic sweater from Auntie Heather that used to be way too big, but now fits perfectly).

A video for Auntie Ya-ya

Auntie Ya-ya (Heather) has been working away this summer, so we havn't seen her at all and we've talked to her just a few times. Grady got to speak to her last night and we talked about us (Grady and I) going over to Vancouver to visit Heather. She mentioned taking Grady to see the turtles at the aquarium and he hasn't been able to talk about anything else since! Auntie Ya-ya: here's a video to show you what you've done to this child (and me)!
