Easter

Easter was a big hit this year. Grady loved searching for, and finding, the eggs! The plastic eggs are still out and everyday since he's asked for another egg hunt. I've been filling them with Cheerios and raisins and hiding them for him again and again ... he loves it!

Showing off their shades

Anna has been coming to our house for daycare for a year now and she and Grady have become best friends. They play together really well except when they both want the same toy!

Grady's 1st trout!

We went fishing on Sunday and Grady caught his first trout! Sandy cast out the line and hooked the fish, but Grady reeled it in all by himself. He was very happy and Sandy was so proud of him.

An awesome fort!

Last weekend, Sandy and Grady built an awesome fort in Grady's bedroom. Grady was thrilled with it and spent a fair amount of time playing with his toys in there. His favorite game was, "Dino wars", where he had his two stuffed dinosaurs fighting against each other.

After I took Grady and Sandy's picture in there, Grady wanted to take our picture. He did a pretty good job!

Writing

Grady is getting into drawing pictures and writing. (instead of just random scribbles on a paper). He likes to draw circles and sometimes faces inside the circles. He's also learning how to spell his name - so far, he knows "G" then "R" and that's it!

Here, he's practicing writing his name ... notice which hand he is using!

Success!

We went fishing again yesterday. The first spot we went to was pretty, but we didn't catch any fish there.

So, we went to a different spot (it was very muddy!). We all ended up with wet feet, but we did catch a fish for Grady! Sandy caught it on his rod and Grady helped reel it in. He was excited, but he didn't want to touch it when it was flipping around. We brought the fish home for Grandma Pam (she loves trout) and Grady was happy to carry the fish in the plastic bag ... just like his Mom!

Blur

This picture is blurry, but I still love it because it sums up Grady these days ... he's a blur! It doesn't seem like he ever sits still!

Happy 3rd Birthday Grady!

Today Grady turned three years old. He is a smart, funny, busy, active, and very sweet little boy.

For his birthday, we did many of his favorite things including playing soccer, blowing bubbles, painting, playing with his friends, watching a big digger and dump truck work, reading stories, going on a walk, and making pancakes for dinner. We finished off the day with a birthday bubble bath and then Grady watched his favorite cartoon ("Toopy and Binoo") before bed. It's amazing to think that three years have passed since the day he came into our lives.

Party time!

Today we had Grady's 3rd Birthday party. We had 5 of his little friends over to the house for a dinosaur-themed party. Everyone had a great time ... especially the birthday boy!
