Cabin Trip

We were so fortunate to get a cabin trip with Grandma Liz, Papa Dave, and Auntie Heather.  The weather was a bit cool and the fishing was pretty slow, but we still had a great time. Highlights for Grady included taking Ryder to shore, fishing with Auntie Heather out of his boat, exploring the shoreline with Grandma Liz, getting firewood with Daddy, prawning with Papa Dave, and a beautiful afternoon fishing at the Lighthouse.

Qualicum Mini-Village

Last week we went to Qualicum to check out the mini-village they had set up for kids.  There was a road that the kids could ride on, with a bunch of shops around the perimeter. Grady liked grocery shopping and going to the post office, but his favorite part was trying out all of the different vehicles.

This summer, Grady has been playing hard and falling asleep quickly every night.  When Ryder is ready for bed, he sneaks into Grady's room and lays at the foot of the bed with his head tucked underneath.

Grady loves riding his bike. We ride every day and he is getting pretty fast.  He's recently started to try and do "tricks".  He'll put both feet on one side of the bike, tries to pop-a-wheelie, and loves little jumps.  We went to the skateboard park one day and he was thrilled to ride around.

Happy Birthday Sandy!

We celebrated Sandy's birthday when he was home this past week. Grady blew out the candles on the cake and then opened all of Sandy's presents!

Cabin trip

We are back from another fishing trip! It was sunny and hot, but fishing was pretty slow. We still had a great time and are looking forward to our next time at the cabin.

Parksville

We went down to Parksville last week to meet up with Lena (Grady's second cousin).  The sand castle competition was on, so we checked it out. Then, we went to the park and the beach.  Lots of fun!
