We had dinner with my curling team last week. Sherry, one of the lady's on the team, hosted us at her house. They have a 6-week old kitten named Fireball. Grady was totally smitten.

Today we went to Grady's first movie in the theatre. We watched "Finding Nemo" in 3D and he was enthralled.  I didn't get any good pictures except this one blurry shot. He was too busy watching the screen to look at me!

First day of Pre-School

Today was Grady's first day of pre-school.  He did amazingly well at drop-off and said that he really liked it there. He came home with three pictures that he drew and a new song about jumping beans. (I, on the other hand, did not do so well! I was excited for him, but also so sad to see how grown-up he is getting).

Swimming at the river

This is, by far, my favorite video from the summer. Grady is swimming! The river water looks so clear and you can see Ryder fetching a stick in the background.  Grady has taken many sessions of swimming lessons and he loves the water. I'm so proud of him for getting right into the river and going for it!

Denman Island

We went to Denman Island to visit friends this past weekend.  Grady loved exploring the beach and playing in the water.

Gear

Grady is signed up for hockey this Fall and has to have full gear. We went to the local second-hand sports store and found shoulder pads and a jock.  (It was a dark, smelly basement, so the flash came on while I was taking pictures, which is why his eyes look so crazy).
