Most days (when we are home!), we ride our bikes to the river for a swim. Grady and Ryder always go in ... I mostly wade around ... that water is cold!

Missing ... one bottom tooth!
Last cabin trip, Grady lost his very first tooth. On Friday night, I noticed that one of his bottom teeth was a little bit wiggly. On Saturday morning, while we were fishing, it came out ... with a little help from Sandy! Grady wasn't bothered by it at all and was thrilled that the Tooth Fairy managed to find him all the way out at the cabin. ;)

The little farmer
We planted a small veggie garden this year and so far, everything is growing really well. Grady is having such a good time "harvesting the crop". He's out there daily checking for new veggies to pick and is always sharing peas with Ryder!

Cabin trip
Last weekend we went on a fishing/work trip to the cabin. Sandy worked (with a friend) to put the roof on the new house. Grady and I spent our time fishing off the dock and taking Ryder to shore. We did manage to get out fishing for a few hours, and had great luck! The coho were biting like crazy and the boys had a great time reeling in the fish.

Port Alice
The day after we returned home from Charleston, we drove up to Port Alice to visit Grandma RonaLee and Papa Ken. They took care of Ryder for us while we were away so we were happy to see him again. Their new house is right on the ocean in Port Alice with beautiful views.
View from the deck as the sun was setting.
Grady looking for whales with the binoculars.
So happy to see Ryder again!
Tess, Grady, and Ryder enjoying the sunshine.
Grandma and Papa took us for a nice drive to this viewpoint. Grady was thrilled that we saw a bear along the way. I really enjoyed the scenery.
Grady and Papa built a rock sculpture, while Grandma and I hid from the bugs in the car!
As you can see, Ryder was well taken care of while we were away!!
