Bird nest
Grady found this tiny little birds nest in the bark mulch around the cedars in our front yard. He picked it up for the picture and then put it back in place. He was so thrilled to see that the bird had used some of Ryder's dog hair to line the nest!

Déjà vu
Hunter's outfit the other day looked very familiar to me. I looked back through the blog and found a picture of Grady wearing the exact same clothes at almost the exact same age!

Wood detail
The boys are both great helpers when it comes to stacking firewood. Hunter loves to be a part of the work and gets right in there with the smaller pieces of wood.

Bike jumps
Today we rode over to the bike jumps that are near our house. Grady loves going there and riding over the jumps ... again and again!

Rainbow trout
Papa Rob took Grady fishing and out for lunch for his birthday present. Grady was SO excited to go and counted down the days until the date arrived. The fishermen were lucky and brought home a beauty rainbow trout!! Grady was absolutely thrilled.
Tying up the lure before they headed out.
Hunter didn't like the fish at all.

Chalkboard
Sandy leaned these boards up against the fence for the road hockey game. We've left them up because they make a great space for drawing with chalk.

Baby on a bike
A friend gave us this little bike for when Hunter is a bit older. Grady thought he should try it out now! He lifted Hunter up there and pushed it all over the yard. (Looking at these pictures, I suppose Hunter should have his helmet on!)

Happy 7th Birthday Grady!
Yesterday was Grady's 7th birthday. We celebrated with a fancy breakfast and a new backpack for Grady. Then, we took Sandy to the airport and met Auntie Heather for a nice walk at Nymph Falls. It was a nice day after a busy weekend.
Grady loves hockey, soccer, mountain biking, riding his scooter, playing at the park, and building Lego. His favorite foods are pancakes, peanut butter and jam sandwiches, hamburgers, and french fries. Grady enjoys writing and is still working on learning on how to read. He loves Hunter and is an amazing big brother to him. We love Grady for his happy personality, his care and compassion for others, his joy for life, and his sweet and easy going nature. He's an amazing kid and we are very proud of him.
