Self portrait

Grady's class drew self portraits and his teacher displayed them on the bulletin board outside of the classroom. Grady's is pretty good!

After school ice cream

We had an appointment at the bank after school today. Our bank just happens to be located next to the ice cream shop, so we had to get a scoop!

Daddy weekend

This past weekend, I went to Whistler for a girls weekend. The boys stayed home with Sandy. They all did okay - with lots of help from Grandma Liz, Papa Dave, and Papa Rob!

Biking in Cumberland

Yesterday Grady and I went biking in Cumberland. A friend snapped a few pictures at the end of one trail. Grady was going so fast that he's blurry!

(I don't ride nearly as fast as Grady!)

Rib Fest

This afternoon we went to check out Rib Fest ... a new event this year where the Rotary club brought in five professional "ribbers". We thoroughly enjoyed taste testing some of their product!

Straight to the top

We went to a rock climbing birthday party last weekend. Grady was a natural and climbed up the wall like Spider-Man!

Hockey in the rain

Just like his big brother, Hunter loves to play hockey. He didn't want come inside even though it started to rain.

First haircut

Today we took Hunter for his first haircut at the hairdresser. I've trimmed it a few times at home but we needed a professional to clean it up a bit. He did so well and was very still (I was shocked!!). And, he still looks as cute as ever.

New 'do ... same style, but all tidied up.

First skate of the season

Grady's feet grew two sizes this summer so he needed new skates. We went for a quick skate to try them out before hockey starts. He said they feel good and his feet don't hurt so we are ready for the season!

Paradise meadows

Yesterday we went on a nice walk around Paradise Meadows on Mount Washington. We all enjoyed the sunny weather and the beautiful scenery. At the end of the walk, the boys fed whiskey jacks from their hands. This was Grady's favorite part of the adventure (no pictures of it though).

Grandma used Hunter's hood as a guide to help keep him on the boardwalk.

Escaping

Hunter's latest trick ... climbing the backyard fence.
