Grandma time

Grandma Liz has been spending lots of time with the little boys, which they love. She took Grady mini golfing and for ice cream last week. This week, she watched Hunter while I took Grady to swim club. Hunter calls her, "Nam-na", which is very cute. 

Storey's beach and Coal Harbour

Yesterday afternoon we went to check out Storey's beach with Grandma RonaLee. It was raining but we went for a walk and picked up some nice shells. 

This morning, we went ground fishing. We caught one snapper and a few rock fish. 

And, this afternoon, we went to Coal

Harbour to check out the "museum". It used to be a whaling station so they have some neat artifacts on display.

Fishing in Port Hardy

We came over to Port Hardy to stay in Sandy's work apartment and go fishing. It's different than what we are used to because the fishing grounds are a five minute boat ride from the dock. We fished a bit deeper because it's been so warm this year. The salmon put up a good fight here. We had a lot of fun bringing them into the boat.

This morning we fished in the pouring rain. It was good luck though as we caught four nice fish in two hours.

Port Alice visit

We drove to Port Alice yesterday to visit with Grandma RonaLee and meet up with Sandy who is working in the area. Grady and Hunter were very excited to see Grandma. Hunter was so excited that he climbed onto her coffee table!

Grady made Grandma this sweet birthday crown. She was very gracious and wore it for the whole evening, and even the next morning. Unfortunately this picture is really dark, but they both had great smiles in it.

Saratoga speedway

After seeing the monster trucks downtown, Grady couldn't stop talking about them. So, we went to see their show at Saratoga speedway. The boys both loved watching them and it was a really fun outing. 

Nautical days

Yesterday we took Grady to Nautical days in Comox while Hunter napped. Grady played a few games, went on a ride, and had an airbrush tattoo painted on his leg!
