Grandma and Grandpa visit

Last weekend, Grandma Liz and Grandpa Dave came to visit. Grady was overjoyed to have them here and spent the weekend playing non-stop and keeping everyone busy.

Soccer superstar

Since the camping trip (where Grady played a lot of soccer with the other boys), all he wants to do is go out to the backyard and play soccer. We didn't actually even have a soccer ball, so the first step was to go to the store and buy one. Grady chose this one and he loves it.

Camping at Mohun Lake

We went on our first camping trip of the season this past weekend. It was sunny and warm, which helped make the weekend very enjoyable. We camped with friends of ours who have two little boys. Their oldest son is 3 years old and Grady followed him around non-stop and copied everything that he did. It was very cute to watch.

Toopy and Binoo

There is one cartoon on TV that Grady absolutely loves. It's called "Toopy and Binoo" and it's such a silly show, but he totally enjoys it. He gets onto his spot on the couch and carefully watches what happens ... he usually laughs out loud when he's watching!

Mr. Independent

Grady is becoming more and more independent every day. He wants to do everything for himself. It's amazing to watch him try new things and then master them a short time later.

Although, this new stage does come with a few drawbacks ... juice/water spilled all over the kitchen floor because he wanted to put the lid on his sippy cup by himself, the 5 minutes it takes to get him into his car seat because he wants to do the buckles up by himself, the extra time it takes to get out the door because he wants to put his shoes on by himself (on the wrong feet - this really drives me crazy!).

But, it is all worth it when he accomplishes his goal and smiles up at me. We are so proud of him.

Making a nest

Grady took a blanket and pillow into the play tunnel today and told me it was his nap time ...

Working man

(Grady is not actually doing any drilling - it just looks like it. And, he is being closely supervised - you just can't see Sandy in the picture because I zoomed in to get a close-up action shot).
