Happy 6th Birthday Grady!!

Grady turned six years old today. He is 3'11" and weighs 49 lbs. His favorite activities are playing soccer and hockey in the backyard, mountain biking, walking in the woods, coloring and painting, playing ball with Ryder, and listening to stories. This year, Grady became a big brother; he does a wonderful job of entertaining his baby brother and being kind to him. Grady also started Kindergarten this year. He's friends with all of the children in his class. His writing is really progressing and he's starting to put sounds together and trying to read words (only when he feels like it though!).

Grady is a very sweet boy who shows a lot of compassion for his friends and family. He's very active and likes to be doing something all the time. His interests include dinosaurs, monster trucks, ocean animals, lego, and any tv show that we'll let him watch! But mostly, he is just a happy kid who brings a lot of joy into our lives.

We had a weekend full of birthday fun. His party was yesterday at the local recreation center. Grady and his friends played floor hockey, soccer, and rode around on the plasma cars for an hour. Then, we went into the party room for an hour where the kids covered themselves with temporary tattoos, had snacks, Grady opened his gifts, and we had birthday cupcakes. Today was another exciting day with Papa Rob taking Grady fishing for his birthday gift. They were successful and Grady reeled in a nice little trout! Auntie Heather and Brad came over tonight for a pizza dinner and one last birthday cake. Our little boy is six years old ... wow.

Floor hockey at the start of Grady's party.

Riding on the plasma cars.

Singing "Happy Birthday" to my special guy.

The kids were excited for the cupcakes.

Birthday morning with his gift ... a new bat and baseball (both foamy in case he accidentally makes contact with the dog or the baby!)

The beauty trout that he and Papa Rob caught!

Happy 6th Birthday Grady!! We love you so much.
